Ideal for

The delicious traditional accompaniment for pilaf rice is curry. Why not try using it in a casserole? We recommend our Chicken Pilaf Casserole, check it out on our recipes tab.

Stovetop Cooking Method

1. In a saucepan, combine Dainty Rice, Spice Mix, and 125 mL (1/2 cup) of cold water. 2. Using MEDIUM heat, bring to a gentle boil while stirring and continue cooking for 4-5 minutes, until water is absorbed.

Microwave Cooking method

1. In a microwave-safe casserole dish, combine Dainty Rice, Spice Mix, and 125 mL (1/2 cup) of cold water. 2. Cover and microwave on HIGH for 3-4 minutes. Remove the cover and stir. 3. Cover and continue to microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH for 3 minutes. Let stand until water is absorbed (2-3 minutes), then stir and serve.

Tip!

In order to get the rice out of the can more easily, add half a cup of lukewarm water and wait 5 minutes.

Each can simply contains cooked rice, nothing more, nothing less - all you need to do is heat it up and season.
