Mexican Rice Recipe with Beans

Preparation

Step 1

Take a sauté pan, or pot, and heat over medium heat. Add the rice from the Dainty can, add the contents of the seasoning pouch and 1/2 cup/125mL of water. Break up any clumps of rice and allow it to heat, stirring occasionally. Let it cook for about 4 minutes.

Step 2

Take another sauté pan and heat over medium heat, add the olive oil. Wait until the oil is warm and add the onion, garlic, and poblano pepper. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes and then add the black beans. Mix and reduce heat.

Step 3

Once the onions, beans and peppers mix is cooked and then add it to the rice and mix. Serve.
