Ideal for

Basmati is non-sticky and stable so it is ideal for saucy dishes like curries and stews, but is also lovely just with herbs and a dab of butter to accompany fish for example. We love to do it in a rice cooker with toasted cumin seeds or cinnamon sticks, simple!

Aroma

The word Basmati means ‘fragrant’ in Hindi, the rich aromatic scent will tantalize any taste buds around!

Flavour

They say Basmati has a ‘pandan-like’ flavour. Pandan is a leaf commonly used in South East Asian dishes which has a nutty aroma and flavour reminiscent of banana leaves and coconuts.

Soft & fluffy, with perfectly separate grains.

Long, slender and elegant, with beautiful separate cooked grains.
