Ginger Fried Rice

A flavourful twist on a delicious rice classic.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups/ 750mL Dainty Royal rice, cooked
  • 6 tbsp/ 90mL Canola or Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Shallots, chopped finely
  • 7 tbsp/ 105mL Ginger, gratted
  • 4 Eggs
  • 6 tbsp/ 90mL Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp/ 10mL Sugar

Preparation

Heat oil on high in a frying pan.

Fry the garlic, shallots and ginger for 30 seconds

Add in the rice and stir for about 2 minutes, or until hot.

Make a small hole in the center of the pan and break in the eggs. Mix until cooked, then mix in with the rice. Add soy sauce and sugar. Stir for an extra minute. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve hot.
