Easy Chinese Shrimp Rice

HELPFUL HINT: For easier removal of rice from the can, fill can with warm water and let sit for 1 minute. Drain water and prepare as below.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (350g) Dainty Chinese Canned Rice
  • 1 tbsp / 15mL Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • ½ cup / 125mL Frozen Peas
  • ½ cup / 125mL Cold Water
  • ½ cup / 125mL Small Shrimp, cooked & peeled

Preparation

Heat the oil in a pan over high heat. Add the beaten egg and cook until soft.

Add the Dainty Chinese canned rice with the seasoning sachet, and the frozen peas.

Mix thoroughly and pour cold water overall.

Add the shrimp and cook over a medium heat, stirring continually until warm.
