Brown & Wild rice Holiday Stuffing

A flavourful quick rice stuffing to accompany your turkey, let your rice cooker do half the work!

Preparation

Step 1

Place the rice, stock and4 tbsp. (60mL) butter in the bowl of your rice cooker and cook.

Step 2

Meanwhile heat a large sautรฉ pan on medium-high heat, melt remaining butter. Add the onion and cook for 4-5 minutes, until translucent.

Step 3

Add the mushrooms and cook until tender, 4-5 mins.

Step 4

Remove form the heat, add the thyme, sage, apple (or pear) and parsley. Stir to combine and season with salt & pepper.

Step 5

When rice is finished cooking fold the onion/mushroom mixture into the rice.

Step 6

Serve as a side or cool off and use to stuff something
