Preparation

Step 1

Place the Dainty Basmati Rice in a bowl of a rice cooker. Add the stock or water, orange peel, spices and salt. Close the lid to the rice cooker and cook.

Step 2

Meanwhile, preheat a medium sauté pan over high heat. When hot, add the oil, onion, and garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the onions start to soften slightly. Remove from the heat.

Step 3

When the rice is done, pour in the onion mixture and gently stir together. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve with a sprinkling of the sliced green onions on top.
