Rice Cooker Chicken & Red Rice

Everyone loves this chicken and red rice recipe fast to make for a weeknight meal.

  • 1 cup / 250 mL Dainty Royal rice
  • 1 1/2 cups / 275 mL Water (or chicken or vegetable stock)
  • 2 Tbsp / 30g Butter
  • 3 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 skinless & boneless Chicken Breast, diced into bite sized pieces
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 cup / 250mL frozen Peas (or any other frozen vegetable like corn, carrots, edamame)



Place the rice, water, butter, tomato paste, diced chicken breast and salt & pepper into your ice cooker. Close the lid and Cook.


When done, gently stir in the peas and re-close the lid. Let the peas thaw and warm for 5 minutes, and up to 20 minutes. Serve.
