Rice cooker Chili and Brown Rice

Dead simple : Whole grain based meal. You’ll learn how to use your rice cooker with brown rice for this one.

  • 1 cup / 250 mL Dainty Time-Wise Brown rice
  • 1 1/2 cups / 375 mL Water
  • 1 can Chili, your choice
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper, seeded & diced
  • 1 medium Carrot, peeled & diced
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Optional: Few dashes of hot sauce & shredded cheese for toping



Place the rice, water, can of chili, diced bell pepper and carrot into the bowl of your rice cooker. Cook.


When done, adjust the seasoning with salt & pepper if needed, and add the hot sauce if using.
