Fuel for a chilly Halloween night, for gremlins or their parents alike!
In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, salt, and rice. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook at a good simmer, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender, about 15 minutes.
Stir in the chocolate, butter, and orange zest and stir well to combine. The mixture should thicken. Divide among 8 glasses or ramekins and chill.
Serve cold with a good portions of chopped up Halloween candy on top and a dollop of whipped cream if using.
